A rough block-in for a piece that I'm working on for myself.

I like the stylized look to her arms and hands. Kind of a Jack Davis look if you don't mind me saying. Again the black/white contrast grabs the attention and keeps it rivoted where it needs to be.

Wow - It's Looking good - I love the hair! Almost looks like a lost member of the Addams family! Is this how you always progress a digital painting (blocking in main values first)?!

Thank you Bobby, Bill, and Tim! And Bill, I don't mind the reference to Jack Davis . . . a childhood hero of mine!

Tim, I don't always start out this way, I'm thinking of leaving this piece black and white but adding a bit of color faintly here and there. I'll go over some of my painting techniques during my course.

Beautiful shape over-all! The negative space is really nice too. I don't know who Amy is. (I have only heard of her)

Congrats on SILA!

This is a work fantastic. I like the "non finito" of the hand with the cigar.

I see the recent issue of "BLENDER" was a major source of inspiration for you. I normally wouldn't pick it up but when I saw it on the newstand I knew that was at least one of your reference pics...and once inside I found the Amy reference. I always like to see the images a person uses to see how they approach their work.

Both the Jay Z and Amy Winehouse pieces are stellar...brilliant work as always!

Thank you Wouter, Marco, Fred, Restrepo, and Vincenzo!

Vin, you're right about the issue of Blender, I couldn't resist when I saw the picture of Jay-Z . . . I'm working on a cool idea for the finish of both pieces . . . will be cool I think.
