Lil Wayne for Rolling Stone

Here's my first of hopefully many portraits for Rolling Stone. I am having the time of my life. Working for Rolling Stone has been a goal of mine for some time now, it has been a dream of mine since I was at least 15. So to finally have the chance to paint for them was an awesome experience to say the least. I'm also very glad that they wanted me to paint a portrait rather than caricature, as it is something that I would like to do more often.

Here's a close up for all you detail lovers out there! BTW, I was called by RS Monday morning and finished the painting early Wednesday morning.

My sketch.

Wow, that is the most un-digital looking digital painting I've ever seen :)

It is digital... right? Now I'm not even sure!

Jason Rolling Stone, CONGRATS, that is big. I am ever amazed at every new thing you do, the close up you can tell his eyes look wet, like you could touch the picture and your finger would be wet. the Gift of talent, continually working on it. <3

Hi Jason, I just got a report via my Illustrator -- someone is maybe stealing this and claim it to be his portfolio. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150718526864404&set=a.56927644403.63169.549489403&type=3
I don't know the person myself, but he seems to be a painter/artist from Indonesia by the name Bondan Bondowoso.
